So, it’s true. Behringer will bring a Yamaha CS-80 replica on the market. Today, Uli Behringer has published some renders how he can look. It will have an 8-voice analog multi-timbral polyphonic engine with dual channels per voice, polyphonic aftertouch support, ribbon controller and patch memory. Yes, you read it right, patch memory!
Uli says in his statement that the development of the Behringer DS-80 is in very early stage and that it will take a lot of time to finish it. So that’s the answer of Behringer of a possible Yamaha CS-80 reissue.

As promised here is our DS-80 design draft; Multi-Timbral 8-Voice Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer with Dual Channels per Voice, Polyphonic Aftertouch, Ribbon Controller and Patch Memory.
We want to be absolutely clear that this a very complex synthesizer project and it is at a very early stage. It will take us a long time to complete, however we are committed to deliver.
