One advantage of having the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 6 is that you can use the free libraries that circulate on the worldwide web without any restrictions. These are often powerful instruments with which you can do a lot. Rigid Audio, for example, has now released a new free virtual instrument that is again exclusive to Kontakt 6 users. No, the Kontakt 6 Player is not supported.
Metawave is a granular virtual instrument with 64 factory presets.

Metawave has 4 engines, each equipped with 64 sound sources (in total 4 x 64). These can be combined with each other. So it’s not a simple rompler but a full sound design instrument. Plus, you have granular shaping options, reverb, and flair effects onboard. Then, you have two 64-step sequencers with which you can animate parameters.
Further, you have a preset randomizer onboard that gives instant new sounds with which new sounds are only a click away. A function that does not always deliver the best results, but inspires musicians. Last but not least, it has the ability to playback waveforms randomly. A nice virtual instrument that Rigid Audio offers its community for free.
Rigid Audio Metawave is available as a free download to registered newsletter subscribers besides the free Ambiloop bundle that features 200 electronic construction kits. The library requires Kontakt 6.4.2 or higher full version.
