Imaginando FRMS is a new 8-voice Synthesizer plugin & app for Android/iOS that combines granular and FM synthesis using a powerful layering system.
The latest development of Imaginado is based on three synthesis engines. Where DRC still uses classic virtual analog synthesis, FRMS uses subtractive, FM and granular. You rarely see FM & granular in combination, but they go well together. The synth has up to 4 simultaneous layers, each one either granular or oscillator. FRMS’ operation is well solved. You edit sounds per layer and thus you control all aspects of your layers very easily.
The granular engine can have up to 20 grains per layer and users can granulate samples via drag-&-drop but also live input. In the FM engine, the layers are converted into operators and offer 8 different modes. Each layer also has a filter, two envelope generators, and a modulation matrix. In the final, you have 4 LFO’s with 5 modes and delay & reverb as layer sent.
It is very nice to see that the Synthesizer is also available for Android devices that have a low-latency mode. FRMS comes with Imaginando’s Cloud Sync technology built-in across all versions with which you can save sounds and more.

I like a lot imaginando apps. I have to say my first deep understanding about synthesis was through DRC and my first successful Ableton controller app was LK. Surely FRMS is an important evolving step in the company’s instruments
Hi there, I’d like to win the Ios code pleasee?
Sounds wicked!
Always liked Уаmaha’s DX7. Granular is becoming popular nowadays. Great combo for ambient spacey evolving pads
Hey Tom, throw me in please!
I love Imaginando stuff. They combine great sound with a nice, minimalist visual design. Their YouTube sound design tutorials are great, too.
Nice sounding.

Code please!
I’d definitely be interested by this!
Sounds great. I look forward to checking it out!
Thanks for the chance to win this, much appreciated
Sounds and looks really interesting. I am very much into everything sounding spacy and otherworldly. I hope FRMS will come this way. ?
Would love to win it. Love their products.
Great,thx
I enjoy every time I open DRCin my iPad, nice sound and really nice approach to synthesis. I’d really like to put my hands in FRMS as well!!
curious how it compares to quanta or pigments
We need to try this experimental approach.
sounds interesting.
I use it every time I open QUANTA on my iPad, wondering why the granular synth sound is lower than the sample.
Will FRMS also add that feeling to me?
I’m looking forward to it.
Can’t get enough of granular synthesis. Love to win a code
I am also a huge fan of granular synthesis. Please throw me in for the code. More codes the better. Keep ’em comin’.
Excitedly interested in FRMS… I like the usable approach to combining different sound engines. My iPad is ready
Nice synth, would love to make a comparison with Continua too. Thanks Tom. Cheers
I have been looking at this synth and would Love to win a code for it. Good luck to everyone that enters!
I would really like to win this!
I love DRC, would like to get this also 🙂
