Plogue has released today version 2 of its excellent chipcrusher multi-effect plugin. Same as the previous version, chipcrusher is a effect that gives you tracks a vintage sound character. With the new release, this aspect has been expanded with 5 new DAC encodings as well as with a new SPC delay effect.
Beside this, Chipcrusher 2 has received a brand new GUI and supports now NKS FX what is a nice addition. If you are fan of vintage or bit-crushed sounds, you need absolutely check out this new release!
Overview
There are four main components in chipcrusher: DAC Encoding, SPC Delay, Background Noise and Cabinet. The audio inputs first go to the DAC Encoding. Then gets processed by the SPC Delay, mixed with the Background Noise to finally get sent to the Cabinet stage. Of course, each component can be bypassed on demand without muting the audio.
