Moog Music has published a newsletter this evening where you can find more information about this year’s Moogfest. Also in this one finds a picture of the preliminary front panel of the new Subharmonicon Synthesizer.
Preliminary Informations
What we can see on the picture is that the new Subharmonicon Synthesizer will features 2 oscillators, two sequencers lines as well as two sub-harmonic parts for each oscillator. This engine is powered by a filter with cutoff & resonance as well as two envelopes with Attack & Decay. It’s not confirmed but it looks like you can also split the different harmonic parts to different sequence lines. Same as the the Mother 32 and the DFAM, it features on the right side an extensive patch-bay. These are the different parameters to find on the faceplate:
- VCO 1 FREQ
- VCO 2 FREQ
- SEQ1 MOD (FREQ, OFF, SUB)
- SEQ2 MOD (FREQ, OFF, SUB)
- VCO1 SUB1
- VCO 1 SUB2
- VCO 2 SUB1
- VCO 2 SUB2
- VCO 1, VCO 2 level
- VCO1 SUB1, VCO2 SUB1 level
- VCO 1 SUB2, VCO2 SUB2 level
- Tempo
- Trig
- Run/Stop/
- Reset
- Sub1 (SUB1 ON/OFF, SUB2 ON/OFF, SUB3 ON/OFF, SUB4 ON/OFF)
- Logic XOR / OR
- Local ON/OFF
- Cutoff
- Resonance
- VCA Attack (Short, Medium and Long)
- VCA Decay
- VCF Attack (Short, Medium and Long)
- VCF Decay
- VCF EG Amount
- SEQ1 SUB1 + 2 / ALL / SUB3 + 4
- SEQ2 SUB1 + 2 / ALL / SUB3 + 4
It looks like a very interesting different concept for a compact semi-modular analog Synthesizer.
All informations will follow during the Moogfest 2018
