Amiteque AR-110 is a new compact, affordable analog drum Synthesizer with individual outputs. Support it now on Kickstarter.
Making electronic music on the go has never been easier or more affordable. Today, it’s possible with a smartphone or tablet, as well as with dedicated hardware. Pocket Operators, Volcas, etc., make it possible, even in analog.
The new Canadian company Amiteque enriches the mobile music sector with the AR-110, a new, very affordable analogy drum synth that is now on Kickstarter.
Amiteque AR-110
AR-110 is a new compact analog drum Synthesizer that can fit in a backpack.
Amiteque AR-110 features six all-analog transistor-based drum instruments, including a bass drum, snare, open and closed hi-hats, a cymbal, and claps. According to the developers, they are just using pure analog synthesis. However, the drum synth only has five channels because the open and closed hi-hats are on a single channel.
The five instruments are housed in a very compact housing. If you don’t know that it’s a drum synth, you might think it’s a MIDI interface or audio mixer. That’s not the case here as it houses a complete analog drum Synthesizer.
For each voice, there is a dedicated volume controller and a global volume. Unfortunately, you can’t tweak the voices with additional parameters. You have to take them as they come out of the box.
Playability & Connectivity
It is very easy to operate, as it does not require any additional settings. The five voices can be played via MIDI using the dedicated 5-pin MIDI in socket. Connect a drum sequencer for triggering the voices, and the fun begins.
It’s nice that each voice has its own independent output, allowing you to process each drum sound individually with effects pedals or other processors further. Plus, you have a DV 9V power input. Amiteque says that the AR-110 is made in Canada
First Impression
The AR-110 is an interesting analog drum synth for a small budget. The analog instrument sound solid to me and fits into many musical genres. The lack of tweakability is a major downside, but at a price of less than 100€, it’s understandable that you can’t have everything.
I think the AR-110 will appeal to many musicians who prefer small, portable setups.
Amiteque AR-110 will be in August 2025. You can support the AR-110 now on Kickstarter for CA$ 135/87€ until June 30, 2025. Keep in mind that crowdfunding campaigns can involve risks. See this project site for details.

I like,reminds me of the Korg KR-55.
Absolute fail. Loads of drum machines do this and way more. Why even bother. Looks solid though.
Yes, we’ve seen the headlines — “Absolute fail!” is trending across all major platforms :))) Even our toaster refused to sync via MIDI this morning :)))
besides it’s No drummachine.
Just a drunsynth.
No sequencer.
agree with the absolute fail comment unless this is being marketed towards, like, karaoke enthusiasts. who in the hell is gonna use the same static drum sounds for more than 8 or 16 BARS? At a hundred and 35 bucks a potential buyer is a few hundred away from a cheap laptop and 1000% more options/creativity.
I personally like the sound – that said, no tweakability (c’mon some pitch and decay at least) and the fact you have to bring a sequencer to it makes it uninteresting. Certainly a couple of puts and additional resistors wouldn’t have blown the price up that much.
