SUDO Audio Super 6 ST49 is a new polyphonic aftertouch keyboard version of the British hybrid polyphonic Synthesizer.
The Super 6 is an impressive hybrid polyphonic Synthesizer that combines digital FPGA oscillators with analog filters. At Superbooth 24, UDO Audio announced an upgrade kit that replaces the original keybed of the Super 6 with a polyphonic aftertouch.
This upgrade kit is available and can be purchased from the official website. In parallel, UDO Audio has unveiled the Super 6 ST49, a version that features the built-in polyphonic aftertouch keybed right from the factory.

The question of all questions is: Will the original Super 6 be discontinued? UDO Audio emphasizes, “No.” They will be able to offer both versions in parallel. Those who don’t need them initially can continue to purchase the mono aftertouch version but can upgrade later if necessary.
The SuperTouch 49 uses propriety UDO technology, allowing for seamless integration and a new level of playability specifically designed for the Super 6 audio architecture.
It has the same engine and features but with an added polyphonic aftertouch keybed
- Twelve-voice polyphonic synthesizer
- hybrid architecture with FPGA digital oscillators and analog processing
- Classic Roland look and workflow with advanced digital features
- binaural signal path for creating profound, lush stereo textures and movement
- main oscillator with “super wavetable” engine and downloadable waveforms
- DDS-based second oscillator with FM, sync, suboscillator, and other classic tone-shaping options
- flexible modulation with LFOs, envelopes, and extensive modulation matrix
- Stereo 24-bit, 192kHz Roland-style chorus and delay
- integrated arpeggiator and 64-step sequencer
First Impression
I’m pleased to see that they decided to release the Super 6 in a polyAT version. This further enhances the Super 6 Synthesizer as an instrument.
UDO Audio Super 6 ST49 is available now for $3200/2959€ in a blue, white, and black finish.

You know what else is an impressive British hybrid polyphonic Synthesizer?
A Novation Summit!
…and a used one will cost you roughly half the price of a UDO, has more voices and is bi-timbral.
And it has a screen! Imagine that!
The keys still stick out. (at least they appear to in this photo)
