The music production forum KVR Audio has launched a new giveaway in collaboration with Native Instruments. You can grab a free copy of Utopia for Kontakt Player by entering the giveaway. Plus, you can win a copy of Komplete 14 Ultimate CE.
Native Instruments Utopia
Utopia is a sample-based virtual instrument (1.1 GB) for Kontakt Player inspired by the global trance movement. It includes uplifting pads, hypnotic sequences, huge basses, and transcendent leads. The instrument focuses on playability and intuitive controls, making it easy to find inspiring sounds and tweak them to your liking.
The core consists of two oscillators (a, b), each of which can be equipped with a sound source from the 118 included. You can tweak your sounds with eight different macro parameters on the same page.
Then, a dedicated edit page gives you more deep editing options, like in a Synthesizer. You can tune/transpose the sounds, filter them, and work with LFOs and envelopes. Modifications to the velocity curve are also possible.
The customizable multi-FX processor unlocks more customizability. It includes a filter, delay, reverb, phaser, and more. Quickly swap out effects using the dropout menu or change the FX order via drag-n-drop.
Further, it hosts an easy-to-use 16-step sequencer for creating chords, arpeggios, and melodies. As an extra bonus, you can automate up to six assignable macros for more dynamic, evolving sounds.
The 1.1GB download comes with 150 ready-to-play presets that are fully customizable. Alternatively, you can design sounds from scratching using the engine.
