Befaco has expanded its portfolio of VCV Rack modules with four new modules: Percall, Kickall, Chopping Kinky, and Hex Mix VCA.
If you are looking for a super affordable way to learn modular synthesis, Andrew Belt’s VCV Rack software is a must to check out. This emulates the colorful world of the Eurorack modules in a free-to-use macOS and Windows application. A huge community was created in a very short time. Rightly because it covers a lot.
On the one hand, it makes access to modular synthesis extremely easier aka everyone can experiment with it, no matter if you have a little or a lot of budgets. It is also a deep teaching tool with which you can learn synthesis. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to test certain modules before you buy them in hardware.
This has only become possible through emulations offered by the companies themselves. Big hug for this and today the Barcelona-based company Befaco added four additional modules to their VCV Rack portfolio.
Befaco Percall, Kickall, Chopping Kinky & Hex Mix VCA now on VCV Rack
We are proud to welcome four new Befaco modules in VCV Rack.
- Percall: a versatile percussive-oriented module that consists of four VCAs with dedicated decay envelopes and a mixer. Great to shape four different sound sources into percussive sounds.
- Kickall: a small synth voice made for creating big fat kick sounds
- Chopping Kinky: a voltage-controllable dual-channel wavefolder with a unique chop out functionality.
- Hexmix VCA: a six-channel VCA with a unique response curve range from logarithmic to linear and to exponential using a pot.
However, the developer of these is not Befaco themselves but Ewan Hemingway. He also made a video for the Percall version for VCV Rack.
Four great new modules that you can now discover for free or try before buying the hardware version. Big thanks.
