Behringer 112 Dual VCO Eurorack module had big tuning problems in the first batch, but these have now been fixed in the new one.

This is the follow-up of the Behringer 112 Dual VCO article about the known tuning issues. In the meantime, Tim Shoebridge, a well-known YouTuber in the synthphere and Korg plugin developer published a video where he talks about the tuning problems of the Behringer 112 Dual VCO Eurorack module as well.

Tim shows in his video in great detail how the module behaves. It clearly proves the problems with the tuning.

In the same video, we also learn that Tim contacted Behringer and informed the company about the problems. Uli and his team got in touch immediately and fixed the module. According to Tim, it  does not have any drastic tuning problems in the new batch and is much more stable. If you compare the first version and the second, there are apparently small changes & material improvements that ensure better tuning.

It’s nice to see that Behringer also reacts to such criticism and improves the module. But you should be careful when buying. It is possible that many traders still have units from the first batch.

Behringer 112 Dual VCO is available now for 102€.

  1. They should recall the modules from the first batch, or else there is no way to know if you’ll be receiving a working product.
