Arcaico Matrioska is a new creative 6-channel stereo mixer and VCA module with CV-controllable panning, crossfading, and more.

Mixers and VCAs are essential components of any basic modular system. They serve three purposes: mixing, amplifying, and modulating signals. Both functions can also be combined into a single, exciting module.

Arcaico has released Matrioska, a stereo mixer and VCA with six flexible inputs.

Arcaico Matrioska

Matrioska is a new 6-channel stereo mixer and VCA module. Arcaico describes the concept of Matrioska as a layered structure where each level hides and reveals another.

It consists of six independent VCA channels, usable with audio and CV signals. Each channel has a dedicated input, level, and offset control.

The latter lets you easily pan each channel in the mix manually or via CV, allowing you to sculpt the space and create dynamic movements between outputs. Nice, this can also send audio into distortion.

Additionally, two switches for switching between linear and logarithmic modes and the channel destination.

The six inputs can be used independently in mono configurations or as stereo pairs. The first four channels include CV-controllable panners, allowing you to sculpt the space and create dynamic movements between outputs.

Pairs 1+2 and 3+4 can act as independent crossfaders or as internal sub-mixes, while each channel remains free to exist independently through its own direct output.

Output routing is just as versatile. The module has six independent channel outputs, fade outputs for channels 1-4, and a final stereo output (L/R) that sums all the voices.

In mono configuration, the L output automatically sums the signal, transforming Matrioska into a flexible node that can be adapted to any configuration of your system.
