Behringer BM-18M Cluster Box is a clone/replica of the discontinued Moog Moogerfooger MF-108M Cluster Flux modulation pedal.
Summer 2025 was all about effects, at least for Behringer. The company released numerous Moogerfooger clones, including the long-awaited analog delay BM-14M.
A glance at the Moogerfooger list reveals that there’s a clone for almost every MF pedal. The list has now become even more complete with the announcement of the Behringer BM-18M.
Behringer BM-18M Cluster Box
The new BM-18M Cluster Box is authentic clone/replica of the Moog Moogerfooger MF-108M Cluster Flux pedal from 2011.
Behringer BM-18M is an analog modulation powerhouse that produces flanging and chorusing effects. At its core is a delay-based circuit that can be switched between two ranges: flanger and chorus.
It’s tweable with two simple but effective controls: delay time (MIDI syncable) and feedback.
The flanger mode delay time range from 0.6 ms to 10ms while the chorus gives you 5ms to 50ms. The feedback ranges from zero to oscillation and it’s bipolar controller allows to highlight even or odd harmonics.
Then, it hosts a six-shape LFO with rate and amount controls, allowing you to sculpt your modulation with fine detail. It ranges from 0.05Hz to 50Hz the delay time and even highy if you patch the CV input.
Thanks to the wide range of waveforms (sine, triangle, square, ramp, saw tooth and staircase random), you achieve a wide range of modulation effects, from gentle up to chaotic beasts.
Additional analog saturation is provided by the built-in overdrive with a dedicated knob. Further, you can adjust the output level and dry/wet mix.
Connectivity
On the backside, you have a mono audio input, a stereo audio output (L+R), a 5-pin MIDI input socket and a USB-C port.
The parameters feedback, delay time, LFO rate, mix and LFO amount can be controlled with expression pedals or control voltages from 0-5V. Thus, you can incorporate it also in your modulate system. The
First Impression
Six out of seven Moogerfooger effect processors have now undergone the cloning process. Next up should be the MF-107M FreqBox to finalize this project—an interesting pedal, and so far the most expensive of them all.
Perhaps we will also see a clone of the CP-251, a control voltage processor for Moog synthesizers. We will see it.
Behringer BM-18M Cluster Box is available now for pre-order for £129/149€
