Sound designer and YouTuber Jexus has released a patch library with sounds for the Korg microKORG 2 Synthesizer.
The Korg microKORG 2 didn’t have an easy start. The delivery of the synth was delayed, and then it was already on Bad Gear’s desk. Whether this is a bad omen for the future of the synth remains to be seen.
Synthesizers with memory, such as the mK2, require presets, and high-quality ones that effectively showcase the synth’s capabilities. Jexus has just published a new patch library for Korg’s latest digital Synthesizer.

The patch library features 96 new sounds for the Korg microKORG 2. According to Jeuxs, the presets are single-timbre, so you don’t lose your 8-voice polyphony. Plus, each presets comes with pre-mappings for the EQ and tempo on the knobs.
You can find classic bread & butter sounds like bass, leads, pads, and more , but also some offbeat, where he tried to find out the limits of the instruments.
The sounds are ready-to-use in music or can serve as starting points; pick the textures or dynamics that you like and easily fine-tune them to suit your exact taste or purpose.
Jexus has also published a review at the same time, which is not necessarily full of praise. It’s worth checking out.
The new Jexus Korg microKORG 2 sounds are available now for $19,90 USD, 17,90€ or £15,90 on its official website.
