I like to remember the days when you bought software in a cardboard box. I bought Omnisphere and Komplete like that many years ago. Those days are over. Today, shops like Plugin Boutique, ADSR Sounds….where you can easily download plugins dominate.

But some shops only offer selected deals instead of the full range of all developers. One of these is VST Buzz, a long-time partner of Synth Anatomy. Unfortunately, VST Buzz will be closing down at the end of August. They say goodbye with a big final sale

All good things must come to an end. VSTBuzz is closing down, HOWEVER, we’re going out with a bang. We’re re-running some of our BIGGEST and most popular deals we’ve ever run.

VST Buzz Closing Down

The people behind VST Buzz are promising the biggest sale ever on the platform. Up to 96% OFF on selected plugins, Kontakt libraries and samples. I have picked out some highlights for you.

First, a selection of AudioThing plugins on sale with huge discounts:

A highlight for me is the sale of the Oblivion Sound Lab Hex Drum Synthesizer, an emulation of the Simmons SDS series. It’s a lovely drum synth plugin that you can get now for 23€ instead of 46€.

Then, there is a huge 22€ on the intruiging Xhun Audio plugins (ZeroBox, LittleOne, Raw Prime, ResonHeart…). It’s too bad the plugins are still not Apple Silicon compatible, but they run under Rosetta 2, at least.

During the VST Buzz closing-down sale, two Tracktion synthesizers are also on sale for a big discount: the F.’em FM Synthesizer + three expansions bundle is 49€ (80% off), and the BioTek 2 + three expansions bundle is 39€ (80% off).

The Imaginando Synthesizer plugins “DRC Synth” and “VS Visual Synthesizer” are also in a great 29€ sale. Other great deals are available on the BFD Drums BFD 3 for 64€ (79% OFF), and Minimal Audio Morph EQ for 18€ (60% OFF).

In addition, there are various tempting deals on Kontakt instruments and preset libraries. For example, you can grab for 19€ the Serum Bundle by Patchmaker with 2000+ presets for Xfer Serum or the Omnisphere Bundle by Vicious Antelope with 1020 presets for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.

Impression

It’s a shame VST Buzz is closing down. The competition has become too big, especially with shops like Plugin Boutique. I have also the impression that people buy fewer plugins because they have less money and they already have a lot of them.
