Relayer is a creative multi-tap plugin for macOS and Windows. Thanks to a sophisticated, fully tweakable engine, the UVI Relayer can do much more than just classic multi-tap delays.
At Relayer’s core is a variable multi-tap engine, providing up to 32 delay lines. Delay times are initially set with a typical free or host-synced time parameter and then modulated by swing and warp controls, allowing for quick and easy bouncing ball-style effects.
Relayer also hosts two multi-FX processors with various algorithms to choose from, making a plethora of different delay effects possible.
In addition to the two multi-effect units, Relayer features a unique Color section that can process your sound through a wide range of custom, high-quality IRs (including amps, Lo-Fi devices, and handheld radios). These immediately change the character of your sound.
A highlight of the plugin is its per-tap modulation engine, which features dedicated editors for various delay parameters, including time, gain, pan, and feedback/dynamics. Additionally, you can apply per-tap modulation to two multi-effects units.
The modulation can be set in an independent sequencer variable, step number. Plus, you can save these into presets and compare them instantly.
Another feature is a playable input gate, allowing you to feed the delay with a signal momentarily, perfect for adding dub-outs, builds, or deconstructions to your performances or applying delay to specific lyrics with ease and precision.
There are also master low and high-cut filters along with discrete wet and dry controls.
With update 1.5, the UVI developers also added diffusion and ducking features to the Relayer plugin, transforming it into a reverb plugin. Additionally, they enhanced it with new IRs and a phaser in the FX.
Deal Or Not?
If you only want the plugin, I recommend looking for a product between 5€ and 10€; Relayer is an excellent deal. The UVI Relayer is a nice free bonus for anyone who makes a purchase.
UVI Relayer, regularly priced at 59€, is now available as a free download with every purchase made at Plugin Boutique in September 2025. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.
