Boochow Instruments has released a free vocoder plugin with up to four voice paraphony for the new KORG NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3.
I have already reported several times about the Japanese developer Boochow Instruments and his Korg plugins for the NTS and Logue synth series in the last few months.
For example, he has put the Mutable Instruments Braids Macro Oscillator into a free plugin for the Korg Drumlogue and now also the NTS-1 mkII. He also has just published a new free vocoder plugin for the new NTS generation.
Boochow Instruments Vocoder
Vocoder is a new classical channel vocoder designed as an effects processor for the new Korg NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3. Since both devices are based on a new generation of the SDK engine and have a better chip, this plugin is not compatible with the NTS-1 mkI or other Korg Logue synths.
It uses audio input as a modulator signal to modulate a built-in oscillator that can handle up to four/five voices of paraphony. The plugin also offers an option to specify the chord you want to play.
The Booch Instruments Vocoder plugin has various controls: input gain, decay, filter bank choice (8, 10, 16), and two parameters (shift/metallizer) that modify the harmonic distribution/sound of the vocoder.
