The NAMM 2024 with lots of new music tech gear ends today. We saw many new synths, pianos, pedals, and more. Korg, in particular, showed a storm of new products at NAMM 2024. This is the traditional way to announce products; you can also use modern ways such as social media.
The Wurlitzer brand has announced on Instagram that a new Wurlitzer e-piano is coming soon. No announcement on NAMM but on the socials.
New Wurlitzer E-Piano
Electric pianos have a long history. Among the most legendary are the Rhodes and the Wurlitzer. The Rodes has recently made a big comeback with built-in effects, etc. A lovely, modern version of it.
In the next months, another legendary e-piano is coming back, the Wurlitzer. Initially made by the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company in 1955, the German Wurlitzer brand will bring it back in 2024.
Interestingly, the original Wurlitzer family re-secured the rights to the brand for multiple music and consumer electronics categories and regions back in 2021. This clearly indicates that a new Wurlitzer has been in development for some time.
It will be exciting to see which path the company will take. Will we see a more classic 1-to-1 remake or a modern take with more features built-in? That would be pure speculation; what we know will come soon. They write on Instagram
