Superbooth 23: Korg celebrates the 20th anniversary of its classic microKorg Synthesizer with a special Crystal special edition. 

The Korg microKorg is one of the longest-running synthesizers on the market. Korg has been offering its virtual analog synthesizer unchanged for 20 years. Ok, only from time to time with changing colors. This year the microKorg celebrates 20 years. Wow, Happy Birthday It’s incredible to see how many professional musicians use the microKorg on stage. It’s a very portable synth, but covers a wide range of sounds.

At Superbooth 23, Korg will celebrate its virtual analog classic with a new version. Okay, sorry not a new version but with a Crystal Special Edition. So again, in new clothes

The new Crystal is a special edition for the 20th birthday of the Korg microKorg. It offers a semi-transparent case with metallic accents. Inside, you can find white circuit boards. Why not?

On the engine side, everything stays the same. So like 20 years ago.

First Impression

Happy Birthday again MicroKorg. Crazy how long it’s been on the market unchanged. If you want a fancy limited version, you can get one here. Otherwise, I hope that Korg will bring the microKorg 2 at some point
