Native Instruments Kontakt 6.7 update is out now and brings native Apple Silicon & Windows 11 support, new effects, plus you can save 50% OFF
The Kontakt sampler from Native Instruments is an industry standard. Almost every soundtrack composer trusts the sampler plugin from Berlin. Due to the wide range of third-party libraries, the plugin is also popular among electronic musicians.
The long-waited Kontakt update for Apple Silicon (M1) and Windows 11 is finally available. It’s not just a simple compatibility update, it offers more new things worth to explore.
Native Instruments Kontakt 6.7
As already mentioned, Kontakt is an important tool for composers. For many as important as the brush is for the painter. This new update is not only important for users but also for developers. The market for third party libraries is huge and through this they can now guarantee product support even for new computers like the recent wave of new Apple M1 computers.
Big highlight of this update is, of course, the compatibility with Apple Silicon processors, macOS Monterrey as well as Windows 11 support. So both camps are equally happy. Interesting, as of Kontakt 6.7, the minimum supported macOS version becomes 10.14 and for 10 for Windows.
The new Kontakt 6.7 update also introduces two new bass amps: Bass Invader and Bass Pro. Both expands once again the huge amount of built-in effect processors. Attention there are known issues that will be fixed in a little update very soon. First, Creator Tools 1.4.0 does not connect when Kontakt is running natively on ARM and the VST2 is not yet available in the 6.7 update due to a last-minute bug.
Native Instruments 6.7 is available now as a free update for existing Kontakt 6 users. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU and AAX plugin on macOS (Intel + M1) and Windows with 11 support. Kontakt 6 is now 50% OFF for 199€/$199 USD instead of 399€/$399 USD.
