Meet Angus, a new Kontakt 6 based two oscillator wavetable Synthesizer by Rigid Audio with many possibilities for little money
Kontakt libraries can quickly become expensive. 400€ for a high-quality library is nothing unusual. But there are also indie developers of excellent libraries that only cost a few euros. I can highly recommend you visit Loot Audio formerly Kontakt Hub that regroups many unknown developers in a community.
One of these pearls in the Kontakt market is also the German developer Rigid Audio, who now has a new Synthesizer at the start. Angus is a new Kontakt 6 based Synthesizer that relies on the new wavetable engine.
Details
Angus features two wavetable oscillators each equipped with 128 different wavetables. These can be shaped with different parameters including the wavetable position, harmonic shift, shape, and more. Further, it offers a filter section and a comprehensive effects section (drive, space, flair, delay & reverb). Sounds can be set in motion with envelopes, LFOs, and two-step modulators. The built-in arpeggiator and chord player give you direct inspiration to use the sounds creatively.
The factory library is shipped with 800 newly crafted patches that keep you busy. Thanks to the deep engine, you can quickly create your own sounds or let the musical randomizer build them for you with one click.
Rigid Audio Angus is available now for an introductory price of 7,68€ instead of 96€. The library has 129 MB and requires the full version of Kontakt 6.4.2
