NAMM 2020 will set a new focus on the Synthesizer topic with the new Synth Showcase area and the new Tools For Synthesis exhibition.

Manufacturers, as well as visitors, have noticed and there has been a lot of talk about it. At NAMM 2018 and 2019 significantly fewer Synthesizer companies were represented with booths. Above all, the modular world switched last year to the new SynthPlex or Superbooth last year.

This has probably noticed the NAMM organization and now tries to bring back the synthesizer world with a new concept. They have announced a new synth-exclusive feature for the NAMM 2020 called Synth Showcase.

Tools For Synthesis Exhibit

That’s not all. The Synth Showcase area will also welcome the Tools For Synthesis Exhibit, a new hands-on exhibition made in collaboration with the Museum of Making Music with elements from their new collection Music From the Sound Up: Tools For Synthesis that can be found at the NAMM headquarters in Carlsbad, CA.

Synth Education Sessions

On top of the “Music From The Sound Up”, there will be many other synth- and electronic music-related educational presentations and panel discussions throughout the show including sessions from NAMM U hosts, TEC Tracks and A3E.

NAMM Show is open to NAMM members, and also to general attendees who are “professionals in the music, sound or entertainment technology products industry”.

SYNTH ANATOMY will cover the 2020 edition in video and text form. Stay tuned!
