Recovery Motion Pictures is a new multi-FX module that combines CV-controllable lush delay and reverb in a new Eurorack module.
Delay and reverb are two of music production’s most commonly used effects. With the rise of Eurorack modular synthesis, they have found their place in the modular ecosystem, frequently existing as separate delay and reverb modules.
There are also combo modules; one all-new comes from the US-based developer Recovery.
Recovery Motion Effects
Motion Pictures is a new 10HP multi-FX module for Eurorack. It does not offer an arsenal of colorful effects, but only two: delay and reverb. Both can be used simultaneously to create perfect, lush sounds.
You can choose between a crisp delay or a warm analog-style delay effect. Then, the reverb has a single algorithm that creates spacious, large-hall stereo reverbs.
Recovery Motion Effects has independent levels for the delay and reverb, making them standalone or combo effects. Yes, there are more controls that you can control with your fingers: delay time, feedback, and tap tempo.
In addition to the manual control, you can also send CV signals to various parameters: time, feedback, and levels.
Plus, you can CV control the tap tempo button of the Recovery Motion Effects module. Send an opposing CV signal to the tap tempo and delay, and you can archive glitchy, pitch-bending. rhythmic effects
First Impression
It looks like a solid, hands-on dual FX processor module for Eurorack. It’s nice that it offers both FX simultaneously and CV control.
