ginTronic transparentSea is a new desktop, hands-on stereo multi-FX processor with no screen or menu-diving made for performances.
A multi-effects processor can be used in various ways during a live performance. Often, effects are used to shape the sound or give it a final polish. Some musicians also integrate effects directly into their performances.
The new company, ginTronic, has developed transparentSea, a new hardware desktop multi-FX designed for live tweaking.
ginTronic transparentSea
transparentSea is a new desktop hands-on stereo multi-FX unit with a focus on performance. ginTronic designed the transparentSea FX unit to be hands-on, with no screen or menu diving required.
Only a few button combinations (shift) guide you through features that can’t be set directly with hardware
transparentSea features seven effects: delay, chorus, tremolo, saturation, reverb, DJ-style filter, and stutter. They can be used individually or together. In the details, you will definitely notice that the effects are quite minimal, which makes them very hands-on.
It starts with a delay that consists of two independent delay lines with dedicated time, feedback, and volume control. A pan option is also available, and you can route one into another one with two button presses.
An important note, especially for electronic musicians, is that the delay’s tempo can be set manually or synchronized to the MIDI clock.
Then, you have a chorus with adjustable rate, depth, and time. Just underneath is the tremolo FX with tweakable rate, depth, and shape control. Also, here, you can program the rate manually or via MIDI with sync.
Next to this are a one-knob saturator called head and reverb effects. Even though both have only one parameter, they both sound very nice, especially the saturation.
More Creative Shaping
A glance upwards reveals the built-in DJ-style filter, offering low- and high-cut filtering with a single knob and adjustable resonance. There is one more FX. A highlight of ginTronic transparentSea is the built-in stutter FX, which can be triggered with a button press.
Additionally, there are controls over the signal input and output, as well as a global dry/wet mix pot.
On the connection side, you have a 5V USB-C port for powering and firmware updates, MIDI in/out on 3.5mm TRS sockets, and stereo connectivity on 3.5mm stereo cables.
transparentSea has full MIDI support with MIDI CC. This means you can record parameter automations in external hardware or your DAW. According to the developers, you can even use the desktop unit as a MIDI controller.
Handy too is that the MIDI out also supports through operation, so that you can send the clock further to other devices.
First Impression
Flagship multi-fx processors tend to be feature-heavy with plenty of algorithms and parameters. This overwhelms many, especially when it comes to performance.
transparentSea is strikingly different: it offers a good range of effects but only a bare minimum of settings. That makes it both intriguing and exciting as a performance device.
You have to see how versatile the effects are, but overall, it’s a lovely-looking and sounding desktop FX.
The first ginTronic transparentSea pre-order phase will be exclusive to Germany and start on January 1st, 2026. Later, they will launch pre-orders for the rest of the world.
You can join their waitlist in the meantime to stay updated. The price and shipping date is TBA.

this is awesome however I’d much prefer a screen than multiple hidden shift functions.
