ujam UFX Distort and UFX Lofi are new, easy-to-use yet powerful multimode distortion and degradation plugins for macOS and Windows.
In recent years, the German company ujam has released the UFX plugin series. These are easy-to-use effects plugins that are still very comprehensive in their feature set. Unique is the built-in Finisher, a one-knob that supercharges the classic FX with characteristics.

ujam UFX Distort and UFX Lofi
The UFX Distort and UFX Lofi are the latest releases in the Ujam effects series. They follow the same concept, combining classic effects with the finisher knob.
UFX Distort is a new distortion plugin, featuring 20 algorithms: tube drive, screamer, guitar amp, hard clipping, fuzz, foldback, rectify, multiband modes, ring modulation, inharmonic, waveshape, and more.
These algorithms are fully tweakable with a handful of parameters, organized into two sections. Shape features drive, slam, post gain, and Tone offers an EQ with low-cut and high-cut filters, and a selectable speaker with mix.
Then, it goes into a one-knob multimode filter section with 40 presets and the powerful yet super easy-to-use Finisher multi-FX engine with 50 algorithms. It comes loaded with all kinds of effects, from a simple chorus to a cloud of grains and rhythmification.
Additionally, it has an adjustable envelope follower modulation and a wide parameter that sets the stereo width.
UFX Distort ships with over 100 product-ready presets, organized into specific mode templates and categories.
UFX Lofi
Alongside the new UFX Distort, ujam has also released UFX Lofi. It’s a new degradation effect with 20 distinct algorithms. You can select from a wide selection of digital, analog, and glitch-inspired degradation effects. It
It includes downsample, bitcrush, wow/flutter, tape saturation, sutter, granular glitch, broken speaker, and more. According to ujam, they implemented original noise sources in every algorithm for extra realism.
The interface gives you controls over a shape (degrade, slam, drive), and a tweak section (frequency, noise + gate). Also onboard is a filter section with 40 filter presets and 50 finisher effects that take Lofi effects into new sonic territories.
It also includes a highlighter parameter and a built-in tape stop effect. UFX Lofi ships with 150+ quality presets to spark inspiration and speed up your workflow
Further, both the UFX Distort and Lofi features an intelligent randomization system that lets you dice new presets, giving you instant results.
