The Feedback Theorem by Synth Anatomy is a new patch library with 64 new sounds for the Erica Synths Steampipe physical modeling Synthesizer.
For some time now, I’ve been testing the Erica Synths. This is a hardware desktop physical modeling Synthesizer developed in collaboration between Erica Synths and 112dB from the Netherlands. Its engine is capable of mimicking the way sound is created in wind and string instruments.
Instead of giving you a review with a sound demo of the factory presets that you’ve probably already heard in the loop, I decided to create my own sounds from scratch. I ended up with so many that it became a new library. It even looks like it’s the first third-party Steampipe library ever.
The Feedback Theorem
The result is now available in the Synth Anatomy sound shop. It’s called The Feedback Theorem and features 64 all-new presets/sounds for the Erica Synths Steampipe Synthesizer.
My goal was to explore the full range of the Steampipe, trying to create sounds with subtle to more extreme parameter settings. The final library offers a broad palette of different sounds. They range from dreamy bells and keys, emotional organic strings, up to horrified drones and bizarre sound effects.
To install the sounds, you must activate disk mode on the Steampipe under Settings, USB, and Manage. Once done, you can copy and paste the individual sounds to the internal storage of the synth. Then, you are ready to go.
I’ve published two walkthrough videos demonstrating all the sounds.
The Feedback Theorem is now available for 10€ in my sound shop or as a free download for more than 6-month active members on Patreon. Thanks in advance for your support.
