Sinevibes Integer, initially released as a VST plugin, is a unique digital-analog buffer delay and is now available on Korg hardware.
Almost exactly a year ago, I reported on the Sinevibes Integer effect plugin for macOS, Linux, and Windows. It’s an innovative effects plugin based on BBD chip technology modeling. And more importantly, it’s not another BBD delay emulation.
Now, the effects processor has made its way to hardware. Sinevibes has ported the Integer algorithm to the Logue platform and released it as a Korg hardware plugin.
Sinevibes Integer Korg
The Sinevibes Integer Korg plugin is identical to the VST plugin in terms of effect. However, the DSP algorithm has been calibrated specifically for Korg’s hardware platform. Since it’s also hardware, the operation is different than with the plugin. Sonically, both plugins offer the same capabilities.
As a reminder, Integer is not your traditional BBD-style delay plugin but a digital-analog buffer modeling effect. It uses an algorithm based on BBD chips’ modeled variable sample rate technology.
Yes, Integer can produce delays with variable time values by simply modifying their internal speed. It also has multiple buffer sizes, three output interpolation types, and an ultra-wide clock range, from hundreds of Hz to tens of MHz.
This is where things get unique and fun. Sinevibes Integer Korg also has a flexible clock that can vary the audio resolution and character of the processor. It unlocks a colorful bouquet of different delay-based effects, including non-delay effects.
The hardware version can also modulate the delay time with a flexible, built-in LFO. Optional stereo expansion and lovely, fine-tuned chaotic randomization give you more flexibility.
Since it’s the same algorithm, Integer for Korg also has identical neat additions that keep the effects always satisfying and prevent overloads—adjustable low/high-pass filters and a brick-wall limiter… to name a few.
Sinevibes Integer Korg edition can generate a wide range of effects, including delay, chorus, and flanger to charismatic loops and drones, brick-wall filtering, sample rate manipulation, and anything in between.
First Impression
I’m pleased that Artemiy from Sinevibes has also made this special delay-based effect available for Korg synthesizers. More effects for the Korg Logue platform are always welcome, especially when they’re of this quality.
Sinevibes Integer is available now for $19 and runs as a Korg plugin on the Korg prologue, minilogue xd, NTS-1, NTS-1 mkII, and NTS-3. Existing Sinevibes customers can buy it with a 20% discount.
