NAMM 2025: Clavia has unveiled the Nord Piano 6, a new generation of its famous red piano with new features and sounds.

NAMM 2025 is just around the corner and will bring many new products. The Swedish company Clavia, with its red Nord keyboards, is always present in Anaheim with new products.

There are not one but two new products for NAMM 2025. In addition to their new Nord Organ 3, there is also the new Nord Piano 6.

The Nord Piano 6 is the latest generation of Clavia’s popular piano series. From the outside, it features a new organized panel design with a screen in the middle and LED faders for each layer.

It will be available in two versions (73 and 88), each equipped with a premium triple-sensor keybed with velocity and aftertouch support.

The new Clavia Nord Piano 6 has a multi-timbral engine consisting of a piano and sample/synth section. Its advanced layering capabilities allow you to layer up to two independent piano and sample/synth sounds.

Piano/Sample/Synth

Let’s take a deeper look. The piano section has two independent piano layers with up to 2GB of memory and 120 voices of polyphony.

It contains a large selection of multi-sampled Grands, Uprights, and Electric Pianos from our exclusive Nord Piano Library, along with new features such as dynamic compression and unison.

These pianos are tweakable with multiple parameters, including soft, mid, bright, dyno filters, and advanced string resonance.

Then, the sample synth area of the Nord Piano 6 offers two independent sample synth layers and 1GB of memory. It ships with updated sounds, ranging from strings, wind, brass, basses, and guitars to classic analog leads and basses.

You can tweak the sounds with unison for rich, ensemble-like sounds, a tru-vibrato, and round-robin functionality for natural sounding repetition of your sounds. Also onboard is an ADSR envelope and mono and legato modes with glide.

Nord Piano 6 also has new expanded effects layer section to refine your sounds down to the last detail. They range from brand reverb types, delays with filtering, and amps up to modulation effects with rate and amount controls. For example, it has a new spring reverb and a spin effect.

At first glance, a nice upgrade for the popular Nord Piano.
