Since the beginning of March, the German music retailer Thomann has been celebrating its 70th birthday with new deals every month. Some big deals have already been made, including the UNO Synth Pro for 222€ or the NI Komplete Collection 70th for 70€.

Today is August 1st, and Thomann has new deals to celebrate its 70th anniversary. A highlight is a massive 47% OFF discount on the Boss SDE-3000D pedal.

Deal BOSS SDE-3000D

Thomann has dropped the price of the BOSS SDE-3000D Dual Delay pedal by 47% OFF. The last current price at Thomann was 424€, now 222€. That’s a great deal for such a high-quality delay. The RRP is 499€, an even bigger discount of 55%.

The BOSS SDE-3000D is not an extremely versatile delay. There aren’t a trillion unique delay algorithms or special one like granular, spectral, or so inside the unit.

It faithfully reproduces the legendary Roland SDE-3000 rackmount digital delay from the 1980s. It features two full-featured, widely adjustable delays (0-1500ms and 0-3000ms ranges), each with independent parameters, classic mono/stereo modulation, and panning.

Then, it comes with phase switches for the primary delay and delay feedback loop. Adjustable low-cut and high-cut filters are also onboard to shape the delay feedback sounds. You can also configure the delays for parallel or serial operation, giving your more flexibility.

Not only have the BOSS developers modeled the legendary warm delay sound of the SDE-3000, but also the very well-known interface. The BOSS SDE-3000D comes with a vintage-inspired retro display and panel controls featuring buttons instead of knobs.

The SDE-3000D hosts 100 hardware memory locations to save and recall your patches.

On the I/O side, it comes with stereo inputs (L/R), outputs (L/R), jacks for extended operation with up to four footswitches, two expression pedals, or the GA-FC/GA-FC EX foot controller. Plus, it has full MIDI support via a built-in MIDI interface (in/out) on mini TRS jacks.

Deal Or Not?

Unfortunately, there is no Boss SDS-3000D sound demo with synths. The demos that you can find with guitar sounds, however, are excellent. Therefore, I assume that the pedal will also haromize very well with synths.

Since it has MIDI, you can also sync it. For me, it’s great and very tempting. Do I really need another delay? Mmmh, maybe for my synth + pedal series.

The deal on the BOSS SDE-3000D Dual Delay pedal is now available and costs 222€ instead of 424€.
