Erica Synths Megarack is a new Eurorack “tower” case with 8×126 HP that satisfies your need for rack space after a massive GAS-driven shopping event.
Eurorack quickly becomes addictive. You start small with some modules, then most people quickly experience GAS. I still need this, this, and this. And suddenly, you have 30 modules and more. Sooner or later, every Eurorack user comes across a common problem: rack space. That was also my problem recently. Too many modules and not enough space.
So back in November, I decided to build a Ginko Synthese DIY case with two Befaco Trolley Bus power supplies. Full reporting coming soon. If I had known what Erica Synths had planned, I might have waited. They released today the Megarack, a true Eurorack tower.
Erica Synths Megarack
The new Megarack case does what the name promise. It’s a monolith with eight rows of 126HP. That’s freaking a lot of space. Okay, probably still not enough for extreme Eurorack people like Richard Devine, Junkie XL, and others.
It’s made of all aluminum, with side panels, has dimensions of 1000m x 670mm x 360mm, and a net mass of 14,75kg. It features features Erica Synths custom rails with threaded insert. The system provides 12A@+12V and 6A@-12V of power. That should be enough to house a large amount of modules.
In addition, it features two 4-pole XLR connectors for gooseneck lamps. They are, however, not included.
It’s a shame an audio interface system like the one in the new Befaco 7U case is not included. That would have suited the case very well, especially for audio routing out of the case.
First Impression
This is a crazy-looking monolith of a case. It might be a bit too big for me. As already said, we’re talking again in 1-2 years, haha. Certainly exciting for people with too much GAS and too many Eurorack modules. Certainly no module will remain homeless here.
Erica Synths Megarack is available now for 2049€ incl. VAT

I was about to pull the trigger on this when I realized shipping was $700. Hopefully someone will get a big batch in the US that can ship cheaper.
