Dreadbox releases their current pedal lineup (Raindrops, Darkness…) in black as Reverb Exclusive Sui Generies Edition

The Greek Synthesizer company Dreadbox has re-entered effect pedals in recent years. The Raindrop Delay was recently released, a mix of delay and reverb to generate cloud-like effects. The design is very striking: they are very compact pedals with a very hands-on layout and are very colorful. Reminiscent of the color playfulness of the Chromatics module series.

If that’s too much color for you, all pedals are now available in simpler black clothes in a Reverb exclusive edition series.

Dreadbox Sui Generies Reverb Exclusive Edition

The Sui Generies Reverb Exclusive Pedals are the identical effects that you normally get in stores. Only the color layout has been changed. Instead of being very colorful, these are kept in black with a few accents in yellow and white. The following pedals are available:

  • Kinematic – VCA-based compressor meets envelope filter
  • Komorebi – chorus/flanger
  • Raindrops – hybrid delay, pitch shifter, and reverb
  • Darkness – digital true stereo reverb powered by Sinevibes algorithms
  • Treminator – unique tremolo effect
  • Disorder – fuzz pedal

Although I’m a fan of color, I think this pedal also looks pretty damn nice. I really like the mix of black, yellow and white. According to Dreadbox, they are limited to 100 units for each pedal.

The Sui Generies pedals are available now exclusively on the Dreadbox Reverb Shop starting at 144€.
