Sonic Bloom has teamed up with the developers of Max For Cats and released CatStretch 3, a major update for its polyphonic time-stretching sample player for Max For Live. CatStretch 3 goes beyond the concept of a classic sampler and allows you to freeze a sonic character at a specified position and play it back chromatically with MIDI notes (up to 6-voice polyphonic).
It’s designed for extreme sound manipulations in the spectral and time domain. The new version features a new advanced envelope, grain effect, spectral filter and more. This tool is especially exciting for musicians who like to dive very deep into sound design and where a classic sampler is too limited but do not want to leave the Ableton cosmos.
