GEOSynths Fragments Vol 2 is a new patch library with 64 fresh sounds for both the Arturia MiniFreak Synthesizer hardware and plugin.
We’re often on the hunt for new synthesizers. But it doesn’t always have to be something completely new. Often, new sounds for an instrument that you’ve already have are sufficient to open new ways that you can explore.
Today, I have something new for MiniFreak users. UK-based sound designer GEOSynths has released Fragments Vol 2, a new patch library for the Arturia MiniFreak.
GEOSynths Fragments Vol 2
Fragments Vol 2 is a new library with 64 newly crafted patches for the Arturia MiniFreak hardware and MiniFreak V plugin. It’s a continuation of the GEOSynth Fragment Vol 1.
According to GEOSynths, Vol 2 explores the new features added in the latest updates to the MiniFreak. It features 64 patches, including motion pads, dynamic strings, thunderous basses, cutting leads, vintage polys, and keys, creative arps, and FXs.
The patches have all mod wheel and macro assignments, allowing you to dramatically change the tone and shape of each sound.
First Impression
The library offers a wide range of different sounds and shows how versatile the MiniFreak is. You find your analog-like sounds, very crisp digital timbres, but also organic soundscapes that are somewhere in the hybrid realm.
GEOSynths Fragments Vol 2 is available now for $19 and is compatible with both the hardware and software. You can buy Volume 1 and Volume 2 for $35.
