Synth South West is Pro Synth Network’s Synthesizer expo, featuring gear and concerts, taking place this Saturday, March 21st, in Dawlish (UK).
The UK is rich in Synthesizer events. For example, Robin Vincent’s Synth East took place in Norwich a month ago. However, the biggest event, Machina Bristronica, will be taking a break this year due to organizational issues. But don’t worry, there are other events.
For the first time, the creators of the Pro Synth Network YouTube channel are organizing Synth South West, an all-new synth gathering in Dawlish, Devon, UK. This will take place this Saturday, March 21st, 2026.
Synth South West
Synth Sound West will offer all the ingredients for a warm and welcoming Synthesizer event: an expo, interviews, live concerts, and more.
The expo, from 10 am to 5 pm, here focuses less on the commercial side with big Synthesizer companies and more on the community. Here you’ll find musicians showcasing their vintage and modern synths, foundations, and more.
Among the exhibitors are:
- Matt Evans & Ken Spong (via screen)
- GT Electronics
- Gaz Music Solution Recording Studio
- Molten Modular
- Poly Freq
- Pro Synth Network Merch
- Arp & Moog Foundations
- Rakits
- Oli Freke
- Andrew Longhurst
- Eddie Garcia
- and more
Additionally, Pete Cately will exhibit with various legendary, classic drum machines and electronic drum kits with hands-on possibilities. He will bring the Simmons SDSV kit, Roland DDR-30 / Alpha Drums kit, Roland CR-78, EMU Drumulator, and more.
During the Daytime Expo, there will also be concerts, which offer a welcome break from tweaking synths and other gear. You can enjoy concerts from Ian J Cole, Bang Bang Klang, Eduardo Garcia “Eddie”, and Matt Ward.
More Concerts
If you still have the energy from all the day’s conversations and synth testing, the organizers invite you to the Shaftesbury Theatre for a variety of concerts from 7 PM to 10.30 PM.
The evening will begin with a concert by Peter James-Stephen, the main organizer of Synth Sound West, and continue with performances by Mike Metlay (Dr Mike) with Paul Harriman aka EdisonRex, and TV and film composer Ty Unwin.
The final burst of energy from the audience will then be unleashed by six-time snooker world champion Steve Davis & bass player and YouTuber Gaz Williams, the main act of the evening.
The Pro Synth Network Synth South West will take place this Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at the Strand Centre, The Strand, Dawlish, Devon, EX7 9PT.
Tickets are available now for £10 each for the expo and concert at the Shaftesbury Theatre, or both for £18. All profits raised will be shared between The Alan R. Pearlman Foundation, the Bob Moog Foundation, and the Strand Centre, Dawlish.
