On this year’s Tokyo Festival of Modular, the french company Eowave announced the second version of their compact analog Synthesizer Capsule Titan. The initial version featured two discrete transistor based oscillators, one 24 dB discrete filter, 1 mixer, 1 discrete amp, 1 envelope, 2 LFO’s and a midi interface with inputs and outputs.

The developers added in the second version an additional envelope generator, a drive on the VCA and a second VCA. Beside this, it features now a noise generator and a attenuator. Also now is possible to mix all oscillators together and the second oscillator includes now sub octave.

A very interesting module that is useable as standalone analog Synthesizer or as complete voice in a Eurorack system. In my opinion, it’s a nice and dirty alternative to the Moog Mother 32.

The Eowave Capsule Titan MKII will be available in Q2 2018 for around 600€.
