Audio Damage doesn’t stop releasing major updates for their older plugin and this time there is a second person involved in this further development decision. Junkie XL, composer for many movie soundtracks and a regular user of the 914 MK1 fixed filter bank gives the company the advice to update this plugin. And now it’s here. Version 2 adds a frequency offset control, VST3 & AAX support, a new better GUI and new preset manager. As usual, users of the first version can upgrade for only $10.
The Audio Damage 914 Mk 2 Fixed Filter Bank is a faithful recreation of the Moog Modular Synthesizer 914 module, and a major upgrade to our original 907A plugin. This plugin creates unique filter textures by passing the signal through twelve band-pass filters, as well as a low-pass and high-pass filter.
914 Mk 2 is a subtle effect, capable of adding rich luster to pads, and giving percussive and lead synth sounds a vocal quality. It is an excellent tool for the sound designer’s palette, simple to use yet capable of complex and unique timbres. The Mk 2 update adds a frequency offset control, VST3 and AAX support, a vector-based resizable GUI, and a platform-agnostic XML-based preset system.
