The sound of the Roland CR-78 drum machine is back in form on a new virtual instrument for Kontakt created by Forgotten Keys
The Roland CR-78 is still a very popular drum machine for electronic music and is loved for its characterful sounds by many music producers. The developer Forgotten Keys revives this iconic drum machines in form of a new Compu78 instrument for Kontakt 5. This is also a major upgrade for the previously released FK6: Roland CompuRhythm CR-78 that includes a new interface with new features.
Overview
It features all the original sounds meticulously sampled at multiple accent levels and with up to eight round-robin variations depending on the sound. All the original rhythms and variations have been accurately reproduced and you can program your own rhythms in the same manner as you would on the original combined with a WS-1 programmer. In addition, you can record a performance and save it as a MIDI file.
It included several Snapshots that reproduce the rhythms of famous songs that featured the CR-78.
