Buchla and Friends 2026: Noise Engineering Multi Repetitor is a new algorithmic trigger generator for Eurorack that creates endless triggers
NAMM 2026 starts today. But the world of Eurorack synthesizers is taking center stage elsewhere. This Saturday and Sunday at the Buchla and Friends 2026 event in downtown LA.
Noise Engineering has a new module in its showcase, it’s the Multi Reptitor, a new, inspiring trigger generator with a powerful, non-stopping core.
Noise Engineering Multi Repetitor
Multi Repetitor is a new 10HP algorithmic trigger generator for Eurorack. According to Noise Engineering, Multi Repetitor is the successor to the classic Numeric and Zularic Repetitor.
While with classic trigger sequencers you program the patterns yourself, the new NE module does this automatically. An algorithm handles this, which you can tweak on the fly. And it’s non-stop; it always creates grooving rhythms for you.
It’s simple: patch the outputs to your drum modules, tap in a tempo, or use an external clock from a generator, and you’re already grooving. If your head doesn’t instantly go up and down, then you’ve done something wrong.
There are five faders. The prime fader sets the base rhythm. Neat, the set switch gives you the option to select between rhythms from the two previous modules: Numeric and Zularic Repetitor.
So it’s also a small comeback of both modules. Plus, the right positions give you Euclidean patterns. Then, the four factor faders let you modify the patterns on the fly depending on the modify switch. This includes offsets, multiplies, and more.
There is also an accent generator with various behaviors depending on the selected accent mode.
Each parameter of Noise Engineering Multi Repetitor offers manual or dedicated CV control. Alongside the CV ins, you get four independent trigger outputs, each with an accent output.
Multi Repetitor’s simple interface keeps things fun in a performance while offering a massive range of variations and patterns.
First Impression
Multi Repetitor makes groove generation a breeze. I really like the module’s concept because it’s hands-on yet versatile.
Anyone who’s ever struggled to find the perfect groove, let alone jam with it, might have just found the perfect partner that makes many things easier.
Noise Engineering Multi Repetitor is available now for $320
