Ocean Swift Synthesis Resonant Worlds is a new patch library with over 200 sounds and 185 samples for the NI Absynth 6 Synthesizer plugin.
Just before Christmas, Native Instruments surprised many music producers with the release of Absynth 6. A comeback of a dead plugin. Absynth 6 has been on the market for a little over a month and is being used in sound design and new music production.
You can tell by the increasing number of patch libraries coming onto the market, like this new one. Ocean Swift Synthesis, one of the sound designers of the factory library, has released Resonant Worlds, a new patch library for Absynth 6.
Ocean Swift Synthesis Resonant Worlds
Resonant Worlds is a new preset and sample library for Native Instruments Absynth. The developer quotes:
“Resonant Worlds is more than an expansion; it is an evocative descent into the soul of Absynth. Drawing inspiration from the stark, spiritual isolation of Inuit landscapes, the vivid, fever-dream textures of Van Gogh’s impressionism, and the legendary Ocean Swift synthesis lineage, this collection captures a sound that is both ancient and otherworldly.”
The library features 202 all-new presets, including 138 synth and 64 FX-focused presets. This also includes 185 newly created samples curated for Absynth’s resonator and granular workflows. Of course, you can also use them in other samples and instruments.
According to the sound designer, it features arctic and Inuit-inspired atmospheres, with cold, expansive textures that focus on space, distance, and sparse detail.
Neat, the patches also come with NKS support, giving you macros, deep tagging, and audio previews of each patch.
First Impression
I listened to the two linked sound demos a bit, and I really like the patches. The dense, icy soundscapes and textures in particular transport you directly into new worlds.
