ASM Leviasynth: the first sound demos of the new hybrid 8-operator algorithmic Synthesizer from the makers of the Hydrasynth.

ASM (Ashun Sound Machines) has unveiled the Leviasynth, an algorithmic Synthesizer that offers a modern, reimagined hybrid take on 8-operator FM synthesis. Certainly, it will be the Synthesizer highlight of this NAMM 2026.

For some, even it’s the best Synthesizer of 2026. Honestly, to say that already in January is very bold. Who knows what other companies have in their labs that wait to be released?

Before we can declare it the best Synthesizer of the year, or even ask the question, it’s important to know what the new ASM flagship synth sounds like.

I’ve compiled all the day-one sound demos for the new ASM Leviasynth here.

Feature Highlights

  • hybrid algorithmic synthesis
  • 16 voices (full, layer, split)
  • 8 oscillators with over 300 waveforms with an independent envelope
  • per-operator synthesis modes: phase modulation, FM, PWM, HTE sync, and three types of phase distortion
  • analog filter (4-pole Low Pass (24 dB/octave))
  • digital filter (18 types with MS-20, vowel…)
  • envelopes: 5 per voice
  • LFOs: 5 per voice, tempo-sycable (Sine, Triangle, Saw Up, Saw Down, Square, Pulse27%, Pulse13%, S&H, Noise, Random, Step)
  • modulation matrix (32 slots)
  • randomizer
  • eight macro controllers
  • effects: 9 insert effects, 5 delays, 4 reverbs, chorus, flanger, rotary, phaser, Lo-Fi…
  • arpeggiator with 9 modes plus 9 variables (Entropy, Octave Mode/Range, Gate, Length, Swing, Ratchet, Chance, Step Offset)
  • sequencer: 3 lanes (notes and automation)

  1. I can see the value in USD, especially for the desktop module but the EURO price is way too high.

The keyboard version is nearly the price of a Polybrute 12.

It ll be interesting to see how UDO s new DMNO compares to the leviasynth

    • True the USD price is very compeditive but the EURO price is rly expensive.

      For the record currently 1799USD = 1533EURO

Bears the question: Why is it more then twice the price in Europe?

  2. More mind-boggling demos!

I really like the 8 osc approach, and that you can use them in any way you want!
FM Algorithm-Morph is something novel, crazy and genius!

I criticise that there is no audio in and no digital audio out (USB).
Both of which would make it much easier to integrate into your studio/setup.

Overall this is in the top league of synths!

  3. Amazing sound design and performance plank. I think $1800, considering how everything else has go up in price (food, cars, rent, computers, etc), is a good deal. Not great, just good.

That said, this is a very desirable/aspirational synth but for digital sound design stuff I’ll keep it in the box with Pigments, Serum 2 and Massive X since I already have those and I cannot afford this at the moment and wont be able for a while if these worforce reductions keep happening left and right.

Its very cool nowadays some are adding analog filters to digital stuff (microfreak, Behringer Grind and Pro VS Mini[sort of] and Minilogue XD [sort of again]). I think I’ll do the same with the aformentioned plugins adding pedals like Acidbox III and Analog Heat.
