Deal: Melbourne Instruments Delia motorized hybrid polyphonic Synthesizer is now up to 50% OFF for a limited time.
Black November is no longer just a plugin deals extravaganza. It’s now aslo a month where you can save a lot on hardware. Not as drastically as on software products, but there are still some excellent deals to be found. Here is a big one.
Melbourne Instruments has announced its global Black Friday sale with a big deal on its Delia Synthesizer.
Deal Melbourne Instruments Delia
For a limited time, you can get the Melbourne Instruments Delia for half price in this Black Friday deal. More precisely, it costs $1,399/£1249/1390€ instead of $2699/£2499/2595€.
Since the street price varies depending on the retailer, the discount ranges between 46% and 50%. That’s a great price drop for a very intriguing, innovative Synthesizer.
Delia is a 6-voice bi-timbral hybrid polyphonic Synthesizer. It’s not, as many believe, the NINA Synthesizer with keys. The voicing is different, resulting in a different sound character.
What both share, however, are the motorized knobs that automatically move to the saved parameters when switching pages, patches, and more. It also allows for unique, smooth morphing of entire patches using the modulation matrix.
Four oscillators per voice are at the Delia core, consisting of two virtual analog VCOs, one wavetable (Serum files), and one noise/XOR/AUX. Then, it has an analog lowpass filter as well as a digital highpass filter.
Bandpass and notch filter types are achievable with the link filter mode. Delia also features a 12-note mode that doubles up oscillators per analog filter circuit.
Three variable waveshape LFOs, along with three envelopes (VCF, VCA, AUX), form the modulation engine, which is managed by a 20×40 modulation matrix.
Also onboard is a dual FX processor with stereo digital effects (delay, chorus, reverb) and series and parallel routings. Alongside these, it has a 16-step polyphonic sequencer and an internal phrase looper.
On the connection side, it has:
- two assignable line level outputs + stereo main outputs with effects + headphone socket
- two TRS balance line or CV inputs
- 2x USB-A host ports
- 1x USB-C device port
- In / Out / Through
Deal?!
A 50% discount on a hardware Synthesizer in this price range is a very significant discount and a rare event.
In terms of synthesis, it’s not a game-changer or a world first. Synthesizers like the Novation Peak are heading in the same direction.
However, at just under 1400€, it’s currently the most affordable entry point into the world of motorized synthesizers if we ignore the recent Roto Control, which isn’t a synth.
Melbourne Instruments Delia is available now for $1,399/£1249/1390€.
