Sinevibes Cluster v3 is the latest version of its sequencable multimode filter plugin for macOS, Linux, and Windows.
Filtering is part of the sound design process in music production. Filters can be used in various ways. First of all, to make sounds duller or brighter. This is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear ‘filters’.
They can also be used to bring in movement and rhythm into tracks. One of the most clever and powerful filter plugins has now been updated. Sinevibes has released Cluster v3 with major improvements.
Sinevibes Cluster v3
Cluster v3 is the latest version of Sinevibes’ flexible, multimode filter sequencer plugin, compatible with macOS, Linux, and Windows.
The new version retains the original, simple-to-use concept. Part of this major update is an improved single-screen interface that is clearer and easier to use.
At the foundation of the sound engine is a set of six newly developed filters that can be selected from various models, including multi-mode state-variable, comb, and resampling filters. Plus, each of those filters. can be configured with up to four stages in series.
Okay, that’s the usual filter stuff. The real fun starts with the multi-lane sequencer engine. The step sequencer can accommodate up to 32 steps and features swing, polymetric, and polyrhythmic capabilities.
You can animate the filter type, frequency, and resonance. Especially the modulation of the type opens up possibilities for very complex and unpredictable results.
In the next step, you can customize the details of every segment of the multi-envelope generator. It modulates the cutoff frequency with independently variable type, divisions, polarity, and modulation level per step..
Moreover, you can find manual controls over the filter (cutoff, resonance), an optional RMS limiter per each filter track, and variable per-step pan randomization.
Further, you can save up to eight separate sequences per preset, with which you can instantly bring variations to the filtering effects.
Sinevibes Cluster v3 is a plugin that covers a wide range of animated filter effects, from subtle and delicately complex to absolute chaos.

As a long-time user of the Cluster plugin, I am pleased to see that it is now getting a new, revised version.
Sinevibes Cluster v3 is available now for $49 for new customers, and existing customers get it for $39 using their loyalty discount from the newsletter. It’s a free upgrade for existing Cluster v2 users.
