Deal: for a limited time, you can get the Akai MPC Live II groovebox workstation for 799€ instead of 1099€ (27% OFF).

In addition to the significant Korg EU discounts, I also found another great deal on another instrument for the electronic music community. More precisely, it’s an entire workstation.

British music retailer Gear4Music, which also has a warehouse in Germany, is currently offering the Akai MPC Live II hardware groovebox/workstation for 799€ instead of 1099€. That’s a 27% OFF discount on the regular price.

Akai MPC Live II deal

Deal Akai MPC Live II

MPC Live II is the second generation of its MPC Live groovebox workstation. At its core is a quad-core ARM processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard memory. Additionally, it has a drive bay, allowing to extend the memory with a 2,5” SATA SSD or HDD drive.

The Akai MPC Live II offers 16 velocity/pressure sensitive pads, four touch-sensitive Q-Link parameters, a bring encoder, and various buttons for menu navigation. Plus, it comes with a dedicated master knob. It also has a 6,9” LED display.

Unlike the MPC One, it also features a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and speakers, making it a portable hardware groovebox/workstation for on the go. Plus, you have WiFi and Bluetooth support, including Ableton Link.

The MPC Live II supports the latest MPC software with numerous new features. However, this must be installed separately, as the hardware ships with an older firmware 2.10.

On the back, you’ll find a wide range of inputs and outputs, allowing you to easily sample into the device or use it with your existing setup. A nice touch is the USB host ports, which you can also connect a USB audio interface to, giving you more audio inputs and outputs.

Another highlight is the eight CV/gate outputs on four stereo sockets, which make it easy to integrate your modular synth gear.

Producer Bundle For FREE

The MPC Live II is an excellent deal that further improves Akai with its current offer. You get the Producer Bundle for free if you purchase an MPC Live II between March 13th and April 30th, 2025. It gives you various premium plugins and expansions for free:

  • Air Flavor Pro
  • Soft Clipper
  • Flex-Beat
  • 808 Sub Factory
  • MPC Stems update
  • Expansions: Neo Sunset, Pad Thai Vol 1, Rawcutz Premiere Beats, Trap Soul R&B, Dark Parallax Vol 1, OB Rising, Future Dimensions, Tim Kelley Presents Making Lo-Fi Beats Masterclass, and Urban Roulette

Deal Or Not

At first glance, £699/799€ is an excellent price and deal for an Akai MPC Live II, considering the feature set and the upgraded firmware 3.0. I recommend this over the MPC One for anyone just starting with the standalone MPC world. The reason for this significant discount is, however, unknown.

The Akai MPC Live II deal is now exclusively available on Gear4music for £699/799€.
