Retailers in the EU have announced major Korg deals up to 58% OFF on the KingKorg Neo, opsix SE Platinum, drumlogue drum machine, and more.
Update: Keystage deals added!
In recent months, there have been some excellent deals on Korg synths. However, these were often limited to the US. For example, the Opsix MK1 for $319 caused a real run on the devices.
Such deals are also rare in Europe, but they do exist. I discovered multiple today. Retailers in the EU currently have great deals on different Korg synths. It looks almost like they will go end-of-life very soon.
Korg EU deals
In mid-March, I reported that many retailers in the EU and US were clearing out their stocks of the Korg Opsix SE / SE Platinum. At the time, it was on sale for 1349€ instead of €2,399, which was a more realistic price for it. Now, the Korg Opsix SE Platinum is available in these Korg EU deals for even less, for 999€.
Thomann has already discontinued the synth. However, Musicstore.de (Cologne, Germany) still sells the Korg Opsix SE Platinum at this price, and a new batch seems to be coming soon. At a price reduction of 58% compared to the original launch price, it sounds like it will soon be end-of-life.
When Korg released the KingKorg NEO in Wavestate/opsix/modwave format in January 2024, many people shook their heads. For many, the synth was already dead upon release. Now it seems to be approaching EOL.
Thomann and Musicstore.de currently have the KingKorg for €499, a 55% discount off the 2024 release price of $999/1099€… I think the signs point to its end of life.
Another synth will likely follow this path, specifically a drum synth. The Korg drumlogue hybrid drum machine is also on the Korg EU deals list at major German retailers.
You can get it now for 319€ instead of 629€, so 50% OFF. This sounds like the drumlogue will also have no future. Sad because it’s not so bad and it also has the Logue engine with its Korg plugins. There is also a tiny deal on the Korg microKORG Crystal, now 399€ instead of the previous 444€.
Lastly the new addition is a hefty 50% OFF on the Korg Keystage 49 and 61 polyphonic aftertouch keyboards. Korg Germany, the German distributor’s official shop offers the Keystage 49 for 299€ instead of 599€ and the Keystage 61 for 349€ instead of 699€.
It looks like the Keystage also reached the end of life. It’s sad because polyphonic aftertouch keybeds are still rare on the market.
The Korg EU Deals are available now as long as the stock lasts: opsix FM SE Platinum for 999€, KingKorg NEO for 499€, and drumlogue for 319€.

Hmmm… Something new is coming ?
If KORG had used their brains they’d released the 5 octave versions of these machines, with AT beds, preferably Poly AT, first of all, and then spawned the rack and the 3 octave versions, instead of performing the stupidest release stunt ever trying to up-prize the 5 octave version as some sort of premium versions, adding 2 more octaves and another $1000 on the price, dumb dumb dumb dumb duuuuumb. But looking at their weird spitting versions and recyling machines out during the last 3-4 years, one can only draw the conclusion that KORG has fired their marketing dept. and now it’s run by bean counters alone.
as much as it pains me to say it, most synth folks don’t even play keys anymore. they play the computer instead. the product makes sense in todays market.
yeah, back in the 80’s every synth had a 5 octave keybed because we were all players back then. today? nah.
King Korg still available at Thomann unlike the Drumlogue…
thanks for the update
I was looking at the Keystage 61 for 530€ just a week ago but all the complaints scared me off. For 349€ I might have gone for it. Instead I ordered the NI Kontrol S61 mkIII, since it seemed like a much better quality keyboard and it has poly AT as well.
