The classic Air Music Tech plugins Loom II, Vacuum Pro… get Apple Silicon and VST3 support; you can now download the public beta versions.
In mid-2020, Apple announced the transition from Intel to Apple Silicon. At the end of 2020, the first personal computers with the M processors arrived. Many developers then updated their plugins to Apple Silicon.
Air Music Tech has taken much time to update its classic plugins to Apple Silicon. Now, there is finally good news. Users can now download native Apple Silicon and VST3 installers as public beta on the official website.
Air Music Tech Apple Silicon
The Air Music Tech plugins are back on modern Apple computers. They are currently only in beta and still have a few bugs. Good, you don’t need to register to download the new betas. Air Music Tech has made the Apple Silicon beta installers available for download on the website.
You can download beta installers with native Apple Silicon and VST3 support for the following classic plugins:
- Boom: sample-based drum machine plugin
- Creative FX Collection Plus: 28 effects plugins
- DB-33: tonewheel organ plugin
- Hybrid 3.0: Synthesizer plugin
- Loom II: additive Synthesizer plugin
- Mini Grand: grand piano plugin
- Strike 2: drum and arranger plugin
- Structure: multi-timbral sampler instrument
- The Riser: transition Synthesizer plugin
- Transfuser 2: groovebox plugin
- Vacuum: virtual analog tube Synthesizer plugin
- Vacuum Pro: virtual analog tube Synthesizer plugin
- Velvet: e-piano plugin

I’m glad that the Air Music Tech plugins are now getting updates. Mainly because I can use Loom II and the Vacuum Synthesizer again.

THIS is great news… I think HYBRID 3 is a great synth ! And The Riser is awsome as well…. and i do like Creative FX Collection Plus !!
NOW , hopefully the’ll make the GUI resizable and maybe give them a facelift.
BTW …is’nt Creative FX Collection Plus , Allready Facelifted and modernised in
AIR CREATIVE FX COLLECTION 2 ⁉️
You could easily use them on apple silicon before this update, this just adds a native version. I would hold off updating because the last time I installed a new version it overwrote my presets for Loom 2. It wasn’t the end of the world, since I just made a few of them, but still unpleasant.
Sure, but to get the best performance out of the M processors, it’s better to use the native versions. I stopped using Rosetta 2 plugins since 3 years or so. I’m happy to get them back on the system
You couldn’t use Loom 2 with Logic on apple silicon macs because it was failing plugin validation. I’ve been using the new beta since first released and it is good.
