Error Instruments Dark Marie is a new patchable experimental standalone noise Synthesizer inspired by the story of Marie Antoinette.
“Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira Les aristocrates à la lanterne! Sang the French metal band Gorijra at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, remembering Marie Antoinette, whose life story ended with the bloody beheading.
Not only Gojira but also Paul Tas from the Netherlands commemorate this tragic event. At Machina Bristonnica, Error Instrument unveiled the Dark Marie, an experimental Synthesizer available in limited quantities inspired by Marie Antoinette’s life.
Error Instruments Dark Marie
Dark Marie is a new hybrid experimental patchable Synthesizer with a unique blend of features. According to Paul Tas, the synth is inspired by the story of Marie Antoinette:
The story of one machine that can change the mindset and control the psychedelic way of thinking that’s taking your energy to a different level. It’s a revolution, and you are beautiful, and you like everything that is fancy. Marie forgets the poor and the hungry it was not forgetting. It was the Darkside. That’s talking to her. That tell her that she don’t need to share their wealth .
She asked to make the machine to design the machine that change people their minds But the machine . Make the people only stronger. The sound of the machine created a revolution. Marie Darkest Hour. Was in 1793 . And she lost her head.
The revolution was there .And the machine keep on Separated for a special occasions like a weapon called brown noise by David Bowie . Marie Antoinette ask Wil paul Tas find the right frequency with Error of the Time Machine or perception of sound s to create a revolution in the future, if necessary for peace . because the world is on fire. Sometimes in time .
The synth features both analog and digital elements and can be used as an experimental Synthesizer, delay processor, or combination. As always with Error Instruments, the description of the instruments is a bit wild and incomplete. But I’ll try to put it together as best as I can.
A 12-Patch Point Exploration
Dark Marie has 12 patch points that invite you to experiment. Six are sound engines that can be mixed to archive various sounds. The other six are functions that can be used with the engines. Patching works from bottom to top with crocodile clips. It includes:

Paul Tas emphasizes that you can’t really do anything wrong because the synth is based a lot on happy accidents.
Further, Error Instruments Dark Marie incorporates push buttons for note sequencing and various inputs and outputs, including synth output, audio in/out, and more.

Once again, Paul Tas from Error Instruments has amazed synthesizer fans. Some say, “We don’t need these noisemakers,” while others find them fascinating. I am one of the latter, as Error Instruments always brings fresh air into the Synthesizer world with its often very experimental, esoteric developments. Dark Marie is another lovely very wild, noisy release.

Looks great and I love a noise synth but 700 euros price a little too high to consider.
