MOK Waverazor 2.8 is a free update for its wave-slicing Synthesizer plugin with new waveforms, ring delay, and patches, plus 50% OFF sale.
The soft synth sphere is huge, but just a few synth plugins stand out with features that are entirely their own. We can observe often repeating concepts like wavetable synthesis, analog modeling, etc. Waverazor by Media Overkill (MOK) is doing things differently.
It uses an innovative, fascinating wave-slicing synthesis that allows you to chop up waveforms in different ways not possible with any other synth, except their own hardware. Users of this, let’s say, exotic soft synth have something to look forward to. MOK has released Waverazor 2.8 with new features.
MOK Waverazor 2.8
The new Waverazor 2.8 update is free of charge and brings various new features and sounds.
A highlight is 31 new waveforms for the wave-slicing engine, including Trieven, Hard Rok, Shark Tooth, and Trapezoid. This significantly expands the plugin’s sonic range, giving you more slicing fun.
MOK Waverazor 2.8 now features a harmonic tuning mode for using the LFO as an audio modulator and shape modulation for the wave segments. This extends the plugin’s sound design depth once again.
Then, you can explore a new pitch-shifting delay called ring delay. Plus, there are improvements on the ARC modulation side. Bug fixes are also included.
On top of that, you get many new presets from YouTuber Alex Reid, and a sound bank (Deep Space) from Mark Hoffmann and Rampley. And, you can find more patches in the Mark Hoffmann sound bank.
Features
- 3 wave-slicing oscillators so you can slice up to 16 waveforms per oscillator for unheard, complex new tones
- 160 waveforms for oscillator slices AND LFO / modulation waves
- 30 Filter types with “X. pole ladder, bi-quad, comb, wavefolder, etc.
- 3 Effects Buses each with 47 effect types
- Mix and match modulation sources with LFO, ASR and ADSR Envelope, and Portamento/Random/Step Generatorsi
- Contextual Editor to easily edit modules and see input/output
- Modular design with practically limitless mod matrix capabilities
- XY control, 9 performance knobs and 3 performance buttons
- Looping Envelope and One Shot LFO capabilities
- and more
I am glad that Waverazor continues to expand even after almost 8 years on the market.
The new MOK Waverazor 2.8 update is available now as a free update for existing users. To celebrate this release, you can get Waverazor with a 50% OFF intro sale for $79,50 instead of $159 for a limited time.
