Sinevibes has released free updates for its Korg effects plugins for the new NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3, powered by the latest SDK logue platform.
Good news from Sinevibes. The next batch of free updates for their KORG FX plugins is ready.
You can now use the Albedo v2 (granular cloud reverb), Corrosion v3 (multi-mode distortion), and Vibrant (deep phaser) on the NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3.The updates are free of charge for existing users.

The NTS-1, NTS-1 mkII, and NTS-3 are tiny powerhouses. The engines can be almost wholly swapped out using Korg plugins. They are available for free or for little money from companies like Sinevibes. With the recent NTS-1 mk2 and NTS-3 releases, Korg has taken its SDK Logue engine into the new generation.
Since these require a format update, it is not optimal, as you cannot automatically take your existing plugin arsenal with you to the NTS-1 mk2 or NTS-3. Work for the developers. Sinevibes is currently doing this and has already made three plugins available for the NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3 as a free update.
Sinevibes NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3
As a reminder, the new Korg NTS-1 mkII Synthesizer and the NTS-3 Kaoss pad multi-FX processor use an all-new generation of plugin platform. In addition to a new format, it offers an extended parameter interface and much more powerful hardware thanks to a new CPU.
The first batch of updated Korg plugins for the new powerful NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3 is available now. For existing users, it’s a free download. This means there is no need to buy a second time.
It includes the Blend v2 multi-voice chorus, Dipole v2 through-zero flanger, and the Whirl v2 barber-pole phaser. All three Korg plugins v2 benefit from several new features.
Sinevibes Blend v2 and Dipole v2 for NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3 are identical to the plugins on the first-generation platform, but they add new dry/wet mix and modulation stereo width parameters.
Then, the Whirl 2 got a significant feature boost. Next to a new dry/wet mix control and stereo width parameters, it features independent stereo processing and a dual-stage bode phaser design. Sinevibes promises that it creates a much more pronounced morphing effect at higher feedback values.
First Impression
It is a very nice gesture from Sinevibes to offer the plugins as a free update. Now, all that’s missing is the NTS-3, which Korg hasn’t delivered yet, at least not in Europe. We have the first plugins, but the hardware is not yet there. Time to boosting the factory Korg!

For month I have tried to get a NTS3 in Europe. I think it’s an absolutely unique budget fx device. Hopefully one day I get one 😉.
