IK Multimedia is not a company that you would normally associate with synthesizers—more with Moog, Korg, and Sequential. However, the Italian company has archived to develop convincing synths regarding sound and feature sets in collaboration with Sound Machines. Plus, they are made in-house in Italy. Design is a different topic.
The last in this series was the UNO Synth Pro X, launched almost exactly a year ago, in August 2023. However, its success is somewhat behind expectations, as can be seen in the regular price drops. Amazon Germany is currently offering the UNO Synth Pro X with a 37% discount off the RRP for 376,74€.
Deal IK UNO Synth Pro
RPPs are usually not the real prices, especially for the UNO Synth Pro X. It consistently costs 414€ (Thomann), which is already a very attractive price. So, from Thomann to Amazon, it is another 9% price drop.
For the price, the USP X offers a very large feature set which is rare for this price range.

There is also criticism. Even though the UNO Synth Pro can be powered with USB-C (power bank) as an alternative to the regular power supply, this can be a bit noisier. Even with regular power, the synth produces a bit of background noise. But you won’t notice it when recording.
It is also not confirmed whether the USPX will receive any more firmware updates. Since the release, it has been very quiet. Even without a firmware update, it works great. Of course, you always want one or two small functions, like setting the time division on a sequencer.
Nonetheless, the UNO Synth Pro and the Pro X are among my studio’s favorite analog mono/paraphonic synths. Both are very characterful synths with a very distinct fat sound.
The deal on the IK Multimedia UNO Synth PRO X is available now. It’s 376,74€ instead of 414€ (Thomann) or 599,99€ (IK Multimedia). The length of the price’s validity cannot be said for Amazon offers.
