Glitchmachines Quadrant 2.0 is a major feature update for its experimental modular processor plugin with 14 new modules, revised UI, and more.
In the last two years, Glitchmachines has upgraded many of its experimental plugins to version 2.0. Palindrome 2.0 granular synth in February, Subvert 2.0 in May 2023…
Today, the modular processor Quadrant is getting a major update, 2.0, with new features and more.
Glitchmachines Quadrant 2.0
Quadrant is a self-contained modular processor with an experimental touch. Its core uses various modules that can be connected modularly with virtual patch cables. Quandrant can be a modular synth or a modular effects processor. The built-in modules make this possible.
Glitchmachines has expanded its modular processor with a lot of functionality in the new version. Quadrant 2.0’s core now has 4 additional module slots, which allow you to create more complex patches.
Then, you can explore 14 new modules that bring new effects and functions to the modular table, making a total of 50 modules to experiment with. The new modules are:
- modulation and utilities: LFO, oscilloscope, clock divider, function generator, chaos generator, logic, trigger sequencer, transport clock, quad mixer, and compare
- effects: resonator, waveguide, comb filter, all-pass filter, and equalizer (EQ)
Glitchmachines Quandrant 2.0 also introduces a revised user interface and patching system. According to Glitchmachines, the plugin’s performance was optimized, and the built-in DSP algorithms were improved. In addition to the new module additions, various modules also benefit from revisions.
Further, it comes with a new preset bank system, including 100+ new factory presets. Lastly, there are new VU meters available.
First Impression
A solid new update for the Quadrant modular processor. The new modules complement the engine nicely and make it even more comprehensive.

just got this update from version 1 and it’s been such a blast using 2 instances of this together. One in generative mode followed by an effects mode instance. Seems like a lot of thought and deep goodness is in this device. I have to concur that the second version does feel like better workflow and a little easier to get into.
