Superbooth 24: MOK Waverazor Eurorack Kit turns the bitbox Mk1 & Mk2 sampler into a wave-slicing dual oscillator.
Not only did many new products celebrate their premiere at Superbooth 24, but the three-day event also brought back an already discontinued product. More precisely, a collaboration between MOK and 1010music.
At Superbooth 24, MOK (Media Overkill) announced the return of the Waverazor dual oscillator for Eurorack—not as a standalone module but as an alternative firmware.
MOK Waverazor Eurorack Kit
In 2019 MOK released the oscillator core of the innovative Waverazor Synthesizer plugin a Eurorack wave-slicing oscillator. This was only produced in limited numbers and was discontinued after a short time.
Now it’s back in the form of a Waverazor Eurorack Kit. It will be an alternative firmware/mod for the original 1010music bitbox MK1 and, for the first time, for the bitbox MK2.
Waverazor Eurorack
The Waverazor engine is a novel approach to wavetable synthesis that allows you to splice multiple waveforms into different new timbres, using just a single oscillator.
The Eurorack version consists of two wave-slicing oscillators with unique features like multi-sync and mutant AM. Each oscillator can contain up to 8 wave slices, creating a multi-segment “Frankenstein” waveform that produces extended harmonic content beyond any single wave shape.
Each slice has independent control over wave pitch, volume, phase, and DC offset, allowing a single oscillator to contain a multitude of timbral colors. The razor is also fully adjustable with various parameters (slice frequency, step size, multiplier, and duty cycle).
Additionally, you can slice up any sound you like using Bitbox’s audio input. You can tweak the engine with the four endless encoders and the touch-screen with its X/Y performance controls.
Of course, you can animate Waverazor’s parameters with CV using the 22 CV inputs (2 HQ and 20 mod inputs)
First Impression
I’m happy that the Waverazor is back in Eurorack and even in the new generation bitbox.
MOK Waverazor Eurorack Kit will be available for $99 in the summer through MOK’s network of distributors and dealers.

Yep – this is going on my Bitbox Mk2 😀
